Doreen Makerenko Memorial Bursary
Established in memory of Doreen Makarenko, this bursary supports local students continuing their post-secondary education in a health-care related field.
Available to students graduating from a Peace Country area high school in the current academic year, or to current post-secondary students enrolled full-time in a health-care related program at an educational institution in Alberta.
Eligibility
General application plus 2 references. Please include a brief overview introducing yourself, your plans for your education, community involvement and why this bursary would be beneficial to you.

Fairview Health Complex Foundation Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship supports local students entering their first year of post-secondary studies in a health-care field.
Available to students who graduated from Fairview High School, St. Thomas More School, or Hines Creek Composite School and are entering their first year of studies in any field of health care.
Eligibility
Complete the general scholarship and bursary application. No references are required. Include information about your interest in health care, community involvement, and financial need.

Alice Caspar Bursary
This $500 bursary supports local students pursuing nursing studies at the post-secondary level.
Eligibility
Available to students from St. Thomas More, Fairview, Hines Creek, or Worsley High School who are enrolled in any year of a recognized nursing program.
Complete the general scholarship and bursary application. No references are required. Include a short personal statement about your nursing goals, community involvement, and financial need.

Doug & Jean Snider Educational Grant
This educational grant supports Fairview-area AHS staff pursuing training or education that will improve patient care.
Applicants must have worked for AHS in the Fairview region for at least 2 years and work a minimum of a 0.4 position or 700 hours per year.
Eligibility
Complete the general application and include a brief explanation of how the course or program benefits you and your patients. Maximum award is $3,000 per person per year.

Hawkview Ag Ltd. Bursaries
Hawkview Ag Ltd., a local Ag supply company who helps “grow” our community in many ways, is pleased to sponsor two $500 bursaries.
